SMS / Text Messaging

If you opt in to text messages from Quality Comfort Heating & Cooling, we may send you SMS messages related to appointment scheduling, appointment reminders, technician arrival notifications, service and account updates, and estimate follow-ups. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.

You can cancel SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any message. After you reply STOP, we will send a single confirmation that you have been unsubscribed and will not send further texts unless you opt in again. For help, reply HELP or contact us at (828) 252-8544. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing to subcontractors in support services, such as customer service or messaging providers, is permitted only to the extent necessary to deliver the messages you have requested. All other categories of use and sharing exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with trusted service providers who help us operate our business (for example, scheduling, messaging, and payment providers), and only to the extent needed to provide our services to you. We share limited information with advertising and analytics providers as described under Advertising & Measurement below. We may also disclose information when required by law. As stated above, SMS opt-in data and consent are never shared with third parties for marketing.

Advertising & Measurement

We advertise on Google and on Facebook and Instagram (Meta). To understand which ads and pages actually bring us customers, our website uses measurement tools from Google Ads, the Meta Pixel, and Microsoft Clarity. These tools may set cookies and record information about your visit, such as the pages you view, the ad you arrived from, and what you click. They run across the site, not only on the pages our ads link to.

Because of this, you may later be shown our ads on Google, Facebook or Instagram based on pages you looked at here — for example, if you read one of our equipment comparison guides. We do not learn who you are from this, and you can switch it off at the links below.

When you submit a request on one of our advertising pages, we may send Google and Meta your email address and phone number (and, for Meta, your name, city, state, and ZIP code) in hashed form — scrambled in a way that cannot be read back — so they can match your request to the ad you saw or clicked. They use it to measure how our ads perform, not to send you messages on our behalf. Microsoft Clarity records how visitors move through the site so we can fix what is confusing; it receives your email in hashed form and your first name.

This measurement data is separate from text messaging: your SMS opt-in and consent are never shared with these companies. You can limit ad personalization at Google My Ad Center and in your Meta ad preferences, and you can block or clear cookies in your browser settings.

Data Security & Retention

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information. We retain information for as long as needed to provide our services and to comply with our legal obligations.

Your Choices

• You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us.

Children’s Privacy

Our website and services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
